Students study theories and research in the field of communication with an emphasis on interpersonal and family communication. Students prepare reviews of literature as well as scholarly abstracts. 

This course is a complete update from the course taught prior to me and my co-teacher. Within this course, we have updated it to be an introduction course, which cover the survey of communication topics (organization, interpersonal, media, etc.). Each week students learn a new area of communication, and engage in a hands on activity to learn more about that area of communication.
